Pictures start again next week

My wife has been out of town with our camera (and the time/interest to take the pictures and post them), but she will be home sunday night so maybe I can get her to start the pictures again.... Just FYI I'm in the 250's and totally burried in paper.

What am I going to do with all these things? Suggestion

Someone suggested that I send the cranes out to people in other countries (or I guess other parts of this country would work too). If you are interested in getting a crane (and maybe some of the good fortune that goes along with it) drop me a line at

What am I going to do with all these things.

So the cranes have reached the end of the banister and started to spill over onto other shelves around the house. Starting to get a little crazy. I'm only around 200 (even though I should be closer to 225 if I was on schedule) I can only imagine 5 times as many cranes sitting in our cramped little apartment. I'm completely freaked by the idea of it all, but also a little excited about the cool picture I should be able to take.

Todd (and others) have asked what I plan to do with the cranes once January 1st rolls around. I have had a few ideas about this. My favorite idea was giving them away to friends and family (in, as Andy suggested, a symbolic spreading of the good fortune they are supposed to bring). Traditionally I have heard that I am supposed to take the whole lot of them and set them on fire. I think I will probably do a little of both. Some will be given to people, but since I don't think I have ever talked to 1000 people in my entire life there will probably be enough cranes left over after everyone I know takes their pick to make one hell of a bonfire (and hopefully another awesome picture).
